Vina Estetica General Hospital (RSUVE), located on Jl. Sultan Iskandar Muda No. 119 Medan. RSUVE is managed by the Cory Medan Hospital Foundation. In accordance with the ever-increasing needs of society and the increasing population, it is felt that there is a shortage of health service facilities in the city of Medan in general. The need for these services, especially the need for plastic surgery services (for beauty, whether due to congenital defects or due to accidents), is sought by some people in North Sumatra / Medan city and even abroad, such as the city of Penang and the city of Singapore.

Based on this situation, on April 21 1993 a foundation was established which was named "Cory Hospital Foundation". This foundation later became the parent of the Vina Estetica Specialized Skin and Plastic Surgery Hospital. RSU Vina Estetica is located in a location with strategic value because it is easy to reach from all corners of the city. As the legal basis for the operation of this hospital is a permit from the Head of the North Sumatra Level I Provincial Health Service No. 440441/10373/XI/1995.

The operational system of this hospital began with a trial period since January 1996 along with the completion of the construction of physical facilities in the form of buildings, general health equipment and special equipment for plastic surgery and others. On March 17 1996 it was inaugurated by the Mayor of Medan by signing an inscription at this hospital.

Initially when this hospital was inaugurated, the facilities available included :

• Plastic surgery polyclinic.
• Surgical room for minor operations.
• Surgical room for major operations.
• The inpatient treatment room has 20 beds (VIP, Class I and II).
• Support room for staff.
• Laboratory, EKG, kitchen and others.

In its development up to 1997 it was found that the hospital needed strategic development towards general hospital health services. This development requires the addition of special health equipment facilities and other general surgical tools, namely specifically for tumor surgery and ENT (Ear Nose Throat)

in that year, special surgical facilities and infrastructure were added/improved with:

• Addition of polyclinics.
• Addition of surgical rooms (3 rooms).
• Addition of supporting rooms such as birthing rooms.
• X-ray room, laboratory room, pharmacy.
• Leader and staff rooms and other supporting facilities.

Service improvements continued until 2001 when all the physical requirements of a general hospital were completed. In accordance with the fulfillment of these requirements, the hospital then submitted an application for a permit for RSU Vina Estetica to the government. On August 14 2001, RSU Vina Estetica No. RA.01.03.8.4048 dated 14 August 2001 by Regional Office of the Ministry of Health Prov. North Sumatra in Medan. This permit was also followed by an amendment to the notarial deed of Andreas Ngikut Meliala, SH dated 24 October 2002 which added the name Vina Estetica General Hospital as a general hospital.

The increase in service activities continues to include other related service areas such as pharmacy services, parking and general hospital administrative services. The addition of personnel continues to be implemented both in quantity and quality. All these improvements are aimed at providing patient satisfaction with effective and efficient services.

From time to time RSU Vina Estetica continues to improve itself physically, human resources, medical equipment along with improving the quality of service based on :

• Advances in company management knowledge as well as instructions/regulations from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia or Directorate General of Development of Public and Private Hospitals.
• Policies made by the leader of the Cory Medan Hospital Foundation together with the CEO and medical staff and administrative staff.
